THE BARBICAN ART GALLERY IN LONDON PRESENTS 'BAGHDAD CALLING/WHY MISTER, WHY?' From October 16, 2008 - Januari 25, 2009 the Barbican Art Gallery will host a show that reflects on conflict and its visual representation, in a series of interrelated exhibitions. 'This is War!', Robert Capa at work and Gerda Taro, a retrospective. 'On the Subject of War' presents some of the most significant works of international contemporary art made in the context of current events in Iraq and Afghanistan: Omer Fast's 'The Casting'; Geert van Kesteren's 'Why Mister, Why?' and 'Baghdad Calling'; Paul Chan's 'Tin Drum Trilogy' and An-My Lê's '29 Palms' and 'Events Ashore'. This a new, fully printed presentation produced by Luhulima & Van Kesteren.
